Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy

Booking a class with me is on the condition that you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. All classes will take place on Zoom by default.  If you do not want to use Zoom, you can choose WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams instead at the time of booking.

2. If you cancel your class at least 24 hours before the start time of the class I will offer you a reschedule or authorise a refund within 3 business days. 

If I cancel a class more than 24 hours before the start time I will offer you a refund or a reschedule.

3. If YOU cancel a class less than 24 hours before the class start time you will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND OR FREE RESCHEDULE.

If I cancel a class less than 24 hours before the start time I will refund you in full or reschedule it if you prefer.

4. Failure to attend – If you fail to attend a class you will not receive a refund or a reschedule.

5. Late attendance – If you are late for a class you will not receive a refund or partial refund, nor be given extra time to compensate.  For example, if you arrive 10 minutes late for a class, you will only have the remaining 20 minutes to complete the class.

6. You may reschedule a class as long as you contact me at least 24 hours before the start time.  If you ask to reschedule less than 24 hours before the class start time this will not be possible.  If you then choose to cancel you will not be refunded.

7. The 24 hour cancellation notice period in order to receive a reschedule or refund is final, there are no exceptions to this, including work or personal emergencies. 

8. It is your responsibility to ensure your internet connection and equipment is working correctly. You will not receive a refund or partial refund, nor be able to reschedule a class due to technical problems.  I will allow you the full 30 minutes of the class time to fix the problem, but once the 30 minutes have passed, I will leave the class.  No extra time will be given to compensate for technical issues. For example, if it takes you 10 minutes to fix your technical problems, you will only have 20 minutes to complete the class.
*If I experience technical problems my end, I will refund you in full or offer you a reschedule.

9. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your class, contact me within 24 hours of the end of the class telling me why you were not satisfied and I will refund 50% of your class fee within 3 business days. If you contact me later than 24 hours after the end of the class you will not receive the refund.

10. For Zoom/Teams classes, I will wait in the Zoom/Teams room for 25 minutes for you to attend your class. After 25 minutes, if you don’t log into the meeting room I will leave the meeting room and record the class as failure to attend, and term 4 of these terms and conditions will apply.

For WhatsApp, I will call you at the time of the class. If I get no answer, I will call again 5 minutes later.  If I still get no answer, I will call again 5 minutes later.  If I still get no answer, I will email you telling you I’m trying to contact you, and I will try again 5 minutes later.  After 3 attempts at calling you at 5 minute intervals, I will wait until 25 minutes after the start time of the class for you to reply to my email. If you don’t reply to my email or don’t answer WhatsApp call within 25 minutes of the class start time, I will record the class as failure to attend and term 4 of these terms and conditions will apply. 

If you log into Zoom/Teams late or answer my WhatsApp call late, this will be a late attendance and treated as such under term 5 of these terms and conditions.

11.  No recording allowed.  For privacy reasons I do not consent to classes being recorded.  If you switch on your recording tool at any point during the class I will receive a notification.  I will immediately terminate the class and leave the Zoom/Teams meeting room.  You will not receive a refund and will not be able to book any further classes with me.

Changes to our Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to change or update our terms and conditions at any time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms and conditions on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.  Speak Fluent English keeps its terms and conditions under regular review and places any updates on this web page.
